Physical Inspection
Anyone acquiring a property should always physically inspect it as part of their investigation of the property. The buyer or tenant may choose to instruct a surveyor to carry out the physical inspection on its behalf.

Where a solicitor inspects a property on behalf of a client, they will need to make clear to the client that the inspection is being done by the solicitor in their capacity as a solicitor and without the expert knowledge of a surveyor.
